A little about us..
We are Ross (Sausage) & Claire (Pear) Moore, and we are based in Bridport, Dorset. Our journey began back in 2010. Since then, our business has grown to include our multi-award-winning 2 AA Rosette restaurant in West Dorset, PLATFORM.

​Being based on the famous Jurassic coast, we are blessed to have some of the most amazing food & drink suppliers the West Country has to offer. This is why we have carefully selected the very best there is to offer, always choosing those suppliers that focus on sustainability and with strong ethics.

Although we are based in Dorset, we travel across Southern England frequently and can often be found as far away as London, catering for launch parties, corporate events and other private functions.
With over 20 years of experience in events and hospitality, you can rest assured you are in the safest (and tastiest) of hands.

Where it all began..
Back in 2010 and following a relocation to Dorset, Claire decided to use her baking skills to setup a food stall on the famous Bridport Market. Within no time at all, Claire had a regular client base and was selling out every single week.

It wasn't long before Ross joined his wife in the new start-up and the stall started offering wholesale cakes & bakes to local pubs, restaurants and tearooms, along with a delivery option. Moore Than Cupcakes was subsequently founded and the business went from strength to strength. Within months, we were supplying some of the largest tourist attractions in the South West with our cupcakes, cakes, scones and other treats.

The business naturally progressed into a catering company and after initially calling ourselves The Dorset Catering Company, we changed it to Sausage & Pear in 2012. Sausage & Pear were our childhood nicknames and we thought it would make a great name for a caterer.
